Office
We do meet in-person at our offices by appointment. Visit our Contact Us page for details.
Our business hours are 9:00-5:00 Mountain Time, Monday through Thursday, and 9:00-1:00 on Fridays. Our physical office hours vary based on circumstances – we cannot guarantee that someone is always at our office during business hours.
Contact and Consultations
The best way to contact Polaris generally is to call our main line at 303-557-6488 or to email us at admin@lawpolaris.com.
Please note that as a small office, we are not able to answer the phones live at all times, but if you leave a voicemail, we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Use the link on our “contact us” page or call our main line at 303-557-6488. The more information you can provide us about your legal issue or question, the easier time we will have scheduling your consultation.
Yes, we provide complementary half-hour initial consultations. Initial consultations are remote by default.
We generally do not perform any research or review any paperwork prior to your consultation. If we are required to review a filed case prior to your consultation, that will be charged to you and not part of the complementary consultation.
At your initial consultation, be sure to have ready any details that would help us determine what is necessary for your case. This may include any documents.
The attorney will ask for you to explain your legal problem, question, or issue. The attorney will then outline the legal problems or needs that they see and possible strategies and solutions. You and the attorney will get to know each other and see if we are a good fit to work together. If the attorney determines that Polaris can help you and that we are a good fit, they will then discuss our rates, billing processes, timelines, and next steps.
Do note that all consultation ideas and comments are only suggestions until or unless we (or another attorney, if we do not work together) have had an opportunity to fully research the facts and law related to your situation.
Yes.
Costs and Billing
Representation costs differ case-by-case. The attorney at your initial consultation will discuss our rates with you at your initial consultation, after learning more about your situation.
No. Polaris Law Group bills by the hour.
At your initial consultation, the attorney will discuss with you whether a retainer is required for your particular case. If a retainer is required, they will also discuss with you the amount and deadlines for that retainer.
No.
Polaris Law Group uses a third-party case manager called MyCase. Because the details of your invoice include information protected by attorney-client privilege, you cannot see anything other than the amount until or unless you are signed into your MyCase account on the browser and device you are using. Once you have logged in, you should see that the invoice number is a link. You will also be able to see your invoices in MyCase.
If you have tried logging in and still are having trouble with your invoice, please call us at 303-557-6488 and we will try to troubleshoot with you.
Location
No. In person and by default, we work all along the Front Range, from Denver to Fort Collins and from Granby to Sterling. We are willing to discuss travelling to other locations on a case-by-case basis.
Additionally, our work in intellectual property and international transactions means that our clients may be far-flung. We are willing to work with clients by phone and web conferencing without any in-person work if that is feasible and permitted by our licensing limitations.
Our location in Northglenn means that many municipal, county, and district courts in Colorado are easily accessible to us. We most regularly work in Adams County, Broomfield County, Weld County, Larimer County, Denver County, Boulder County, Jefferson County, Arapahoe County, the district courts in those locations, Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court, the federal District Court of Colorado, and the Federal 10th Circuit Court.
We are willing to discuss representing you in other locations in Colorado or other federal courts on a case-by-case basis.
Our ability to represent you in a place is always conditioned on the area of law.
